To live, to love, to learn, to leave a legacy
To live, to love, to learn, to leave a legacy.
A good quote by Stephen R. Covey in his book, "First Things First". I like it so much. It covers all the 4 basic key areas that we always forget to make balance. We always focus on certain area at certain time. Some times, we take things for granted.
We focus on our work because we want to earn more money, but we always trade off our time with our health. We sacrify our time for exercise just to finish some work that we think urgent. But, some times we forget to ask whether it is urgent or important ...
We will only think of our love ones when we are free ... but, how much time do we spend to listen to them? How much time do we spend in keeping in touch with our family members or friends who stay far away from us? How much time do we spend in celebrating their happy moments?
We will always think of getting things done, but we forget to learn the principles. We always find short-cuts in getting things done faster, cheaper ... But, we forget about learning new skills, new knowledge ... When we find out we are behind someone ... We are too late ...
We may have people that we will remember forever. But, will other people want to remember me? People will remember us as a rich person? Or a good guy? Or for what good things that I have left behind? Who do you think will remember us? Our family members? Our friends? Our loved ones?
Hmmm ... it has been long time I didn't review my own "Mission Statement" .... :-)
